Short and honest
This site deliberately refrains from marketing and tracking cookies. That is why there is no cookie banner — the cookies that may exceptionally be set here are technically necessary and exempt from consent under §25(2) TDDDG (the German implementation of the ePrivacy Directive).
What we do not use
- No advertising or retargeting cookies
- No trackers from Google Analytics, Meta, LinkedIn or similar
- No cookies for profile building
- No data resale
What can technically occur
1. Vercel (hosting)
Our host Vercel may set short-lived cookies for session and security purposes (e.g. load balancing, DDoS mitigation). These are technically required and consent-free under §25(2) TDDDG.
2. Cloudflare Turnstile (newsletter spam protection)
When you submit the newsletter form, Cloudflare Turnstile checks in the background whether you are likely not a bot. A short-lived challenge token may be set. Turnstile is explicitly designed as a cookie-light alternative to reCAPTCHA; it does not build advertising profiles.
3. Self-Audit iframe (Emergent.sh)
The page /audit embeds an external audit tool by Emergent.sh via iframe. Anything that happens inside the iframe — including its own cookies — is the responsibility of Emergent.sh. Please refer to their own privacy policy.
No web analytics
We currently do not run any analytics tool — no Google Analytics, no cookieless alternative. This means no reach measurement, no heatmaps, no behavioural tracking.
Blocking cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time. Since our site does not require cookies to render content, it works normally even with cookies blocked.
